26th Sunday - Rosary Sunday (Old Rite: XVII Sunday after Pentecost)

October - Monthly of the Holy Rosary. Today, and every Sunday in October we have Devotions, Sermon & Benediction at 5pm. The Rosary is also usually recited after every 9am weekday Mass. Fly the flag by hanging your Rosary in your car, (the Muslims make every effort to promote theirs!) but better still, pray it every day especially for world peace and all of your own many intentions.

Burglary during High Mass:  Fr Pawel was preaching; Fr Andrew, Fr Christopher and Fr Michael Rowe were on the sanctuary and Fr Enoch & Fr Przemyslaw were in the confessionals.  The presbytery was empty and 2 bags of fr Pawel’s presents were stolen along with fr Pryz’s wallet (with cards, Polish ID & driver’s license) and a key.  How sad 😭

Fr Enoch returns to Rome: Thank you for helping St Bede’s and SS Simon & Jude out over the summer.  God bless you in your Doctorate (in Biblical Theology) and may Our Lady’s mantle always protect you.

Parish Council Meeting: Monday 2nd October 7.30pm.

Volunteers needed for Church Cleaners & Repository runners: We need some volunteers to join the current cleaning rota.  You will need to be able to clean on a Friday or Saturday approximately every 8-10 weeks.  We also need volunteers to run the repository before/after Mass at weekends for a short period of time.  Fr Chris will be at the back of Church with sheets you can write your details on (please write clearly).

Cleaners this week: Yorusaliam Zekristos, Sara Tuccu & Senayit Halefom.

Bazaar (Friday 1st / Saturday 2nd Dec): Each year we have to raise around a large amount needed for our annual payment to the Diocese so we need your good ideas, support and new volunteers for this year. The grand draw tickets have been ordered – and hopefully on their way.  Next meeting – Mon 9th Oct at 7.30pm
